A motivational session for teachers was organized at Eden Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, on 21st June 2025. Dr. Maongkala Longchar, Associate Professor in the Department of English at Dimapur Government College addressed the faculty with an inspiring message focused on the deeper calling of the teaching profession. The programme began with an invocation and a welcome address by Dr. M. L. Ngullie, Chairman of the School Management Board. The session concluded with a vote of thanks from the Principal.
In her keynote, Dr. Maongkala Longchar described teaching as more than a profession—it is a spiritual responsibility that demands reflection, dedication, and service. Referencing classical texts and biblical scripture, she encouraged educators to focus not only on academic excellence but also on shaping values and character in students. She further highlighted the need for teachers to reflect on their personal growth, remain open to learning, and lead a balanced life rooted in purpose. The session was well received and served as a timely reminder for educators to nurture themselves holistically while shaping young minds.
