The 21st Dimapur Naga Student’s Union General conference was held Under the theme ;
TRANSFORMING UNHEALTHY CULTURE.
Greetings were delivered by Presidents’ of NSF and NCD emphasizing on the elimination of ethos that goes against the human principles and to break from the bondage of past practices but at the same time, these transformations must not come at the cost of losing the originality of our culture, especially the ones that has carried the Nagas forward.
Special Guest and Honourable CM of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio also spoke concerning the unity among Nagas and to uphold, promote and protect the rich customary traditions.
He also mentioned that the old unhealthy customs needs to be abandoned. Encouraging on maintaining friendly relations with neighbouring states, he spoke of how Nagas today have become not only Indian citizen, but global citizens. We must honour our past while embracing the opportunity of the future.
Altogether 27 students of EHSS from Class 11 were accompanied by Assitant Teachers Mr. Chumben N Ngullie, Ms. Leongnaro Imsong and Ms. Zuchoni Ezung to participate in the Conference.
